ART26201 invites artists to submit proposals for Buckhannon’s Art in Public Places Program. Proposals for locations and artworks may be submitted at any time. ART26201 will review all submissions and respond to the proposal within 30 days.
Proposals are open to artists of all ages. West Virginia artists, especially those from the Buckhannon region, will be given preference.
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
- Artistic Quality
- Process and Materials
- Safety and Maintenance
- Feasibility
- Degree of Support
Letter of Commitment
All proposal submissions must include a letter of commitment, which should include detailed plans and information about the proposed artwork. The letter should include the following information:
- Proposed location (view locations)
- Exact dimensions of artwork
- Media
- Lifespan of desired materials for installation
- Technical guide to installation
